Stumbilng upon San Holos Secret TikTok account

I wasn’t expecting to find anything special when I opened TikTok — just another late scroll, just another algorithmic detour. But somewhere between clips, I landed on a small account posting simple guitar videos. No flashy edits. No promotion. Just a guitar, a camera, and a familiar sense of emotion.

It didn’t take long to realize who it was.

San Holo, known for blending emotional depth into electronic music, was quietly sharing guitar ideas in what felt like a personal creative space. The account felt intentionally low-key — less like a rollout and more like a place to create freely.

After realizing what I had stumbled upon, I left a comment telling him about this website and asked  if I could write a short piece about discovering the account. His response was simple and encouraging: “yeah that’s so sick.” No hype, no overthinking — just genuine openness.

San Holo has always had a connection to guitar, often incorporating it into live sets and melodic moments throughout his music. Seeing him return to it in such a stripped-down, personal way felt less like a genre shift and more like an artist reconnecting with the roots of why they create in the first place.

In an era where artists are expected to constantly announce, promote, and package every idea, there’s something refreshing about watching creativity exist without pressure. No expectations. No timeline. Just sound and feeling.

Whether this guitar work turns into something bigger or stays exactly as it is, the moment itself is meaningful. Sometimes the most interesting creative spaces are the ones you’re simply invited into — quietly, unexpectedly, and without obligation.
